During treatment with ultrasound, no electrical current enters the tissues. The procedure uses mechanical waves with a higher frequency than can be captured by the human ear but with deep penetration. It is usually a 3-5 minute application. Ultrasound is therapeutically prescribed in post-traumatic states, swelling and hematoma, chronic inflammatory diseases of the joints and other degenerative diseases. Clients of our contractual insurance companies are not charged for ultrasound treatment.
